PrintLink's president and founder, Arnold Kahn, remembered the frustration he encountered when attempting to hire appropriately qualified employees for his own printing business. Recognizing the void in a qualified recruiting service, he started PrintLink over a decade ago, after he sold his printing company. He wanted to create a specialized staffing resource dedicated to printing and hired only industry-savvy personnel with proven practical experience. Since PrintLink opened, its services have spread throughout the US and Canada.
After running his own printing company for 25 years, Arnie had indeed "walked the walk" long enough to understand the industry's needs. In 1994, the timing was perfect. The printing industry was approaching a resurgence, and companies that had downsized during the lean years wanted to bolster their workforce. Managers were intent on finding highly competent candidates and wanted to work with a placement firm that truly understood their hiring requirements. Arnie also wanted to avoid the traditional practice of raiding printing businesses for employees. The printing industry was ready for a conceptually new hiring strategy for attracting qualified candidates.
With an insider's perspective to better pre-screen candidates, PrintLink developed a value-driven staffing assistance strategy. As the company continues to evolve, its guiding principles remain the same - depth of industry knowledge and confidential service.
