Well established printing company is seeking an experienced Bindery Production Manager to lead their finishing operations. There is a knowledgeable production crew in place and key initiatives include process improvement and waste reduction. This individual will head all aspects of the book finishing area that include hard and soft cover binding. The ideal candidate should be an established floor manager with hands-on experience in book production skilled in leading a team toward operational excellence. • Manage all aspects of the book finishing area 
• Hire, lead, coach and train team members and supervisors within a fast-paced environment
• Planning, organizing, and monitoring of the department to achieve maximum productivity, quality and safety
• Ensure the proper setup of equipment and assist with trouble shooting of equipment
• Ordering of all supplies and inventory tracking as well as cost reduction initiatives
• Collaborate with the other production managers throughout the facility

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing within the bindery area
• A proven track record of supervising a 20+ person team, while reducing costs, and maintaining a high level of safety and quality
• Experience with perfect binding and casing in machines such as Standard Horizon, Kolbus Casemaker or Muller Martini Diamant
• Ability to coach, mentor, and train within a team environment 
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience a plus
• Computer literate and experience with Microsoft Office
