Well established paperboard packaging company is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead their Northeast location. There is a knowledgeable production crew in place and key initiatives include maintaining on time deliveries, process improvement, and waste reduction. This individual will oversee all aspects of the facility that includes prepress, prototyping, and printing, as well as all finishing: die-cutting, windowing, and folding/gluing. The ideal candidate should be an established leader experienced in folding carton production with a solid track record of working with C-level management to initiate and implement long term strategies geared toward operational excellence.   • Manage all aspects of the folding carton plant and provide leadership and direction to all production departments under the direction and approval of the CEO
  • Plan and direct production and manufacturing priorities according to customers’ needs and company best practices
  • Hire, lead, coach and train team members and supervisors within a fast-paced environment
  • Forecast, plan, organize, and monitor production to achieve maximum productivity, quality and safety
  • Ordering of all supplies and inventory tracking as well as cost reduction initiatives
  • Work hand in hand with executive management by submitting daily reports summarizing and monitoring shift performance
  • Ensure FDA and pharmaceutical compliance
  • Oversee research and recommend new equipment intended to grow sales and confirm efficiency


  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience managing within a paperboard packaging facility
  • A proven track record of supervising a 30+ person team, while reducing costs, and maintaining a high level of safety and quality
  • Proven track record in business and management, emphasizing strategic planning, production planning, and manufacturing
  • Experience with offset/litho printing presses (Koenig & Bauer/KBA,Heidelberg, Komori) as well as finishing equipement (Bobst, Kluge, Kohmann, Heiber + Schröder)
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and train within a team environment
  • Excellent communication and delegation skills
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and food safety compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • G7, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Computer literate and experience with Microsoft Office
