Nationwide company is seeking a first shift Lead Maintenance Technician skilled in electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics for their Phoenix Arizona location. If you are tired of the continuous travel of field service, this might be a great fit for you. This is an in-plant position and handles only the one facility. This company also promotes from within and career progression to supervisor and then manager is anticipated within the next couple of years. In this role, you will be responsible for projects and tasks related to electrical/mechanical repairs, facilities services, and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys solving mechanical and electrical problems in a high-volume, industrial manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Performing electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical troubleshooting, installing, and repairing and maintaining industrial equipment
  • Perform general facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, building issues)
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections
  • Be the company facility maintenance liaison with equipment vendors and external contractors

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • At least 2 years' industrial maintenance experience with electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Experience with printing presses, bindery equipment, packaging, and finishing systems such as die-cutters, folders, stitchers and perfect binders a plus.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • A strong commitment to quality and safety
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime
  • PLC, automation control, plumbing, and Journeyman Electrician License a plus
  • Ability to work on-site in Phoenix AZ
  • Strong problem solving, testing, repairing, problem-solving, and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience leading maintenance teams
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday day shift
