Well established company located in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Color Manager/Color Technical Specialist. This is a fast-paced production team driven by the principles of operational excellence and continuous improvement. This individual will oversee all aspects of color both internally and with clients. The ideal candidate should be an established leader experienced in color management for prepress and flexo printing with a solid track record of working with everyone from machine operators to C-level management as well as new and established customers. Responsibilities

  • ICC Profile and fingerprint flexographic presses for corrugated and flexible packaging to maintain color consistency
  • Provide color technical expertise on incoming projects and onboard new clients
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the color management program
  • Provide color guidance and training to pre-press and press operators
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and monitor color both press-side and within prepress
  • Follow and comply with all safety and compliance procedures
  • Stay up to date on current industry innovations and best practices

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred)
  • 7+ years of hands-on technical color management experience
  • Expert knowledge of prepress, Creative Suite, color management, color correction, color theory, G7, Esko, GMG, ICC profiling, and flexography
  • Strong color visual acuity as tested by the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test and color matching skills
  • Ability to relocate to Wisconsin
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • A strong commitment to quality and safety
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Strong math and measurement skills using spectrophotometers and other color management devices (X-rite etc)
