Premier global ink and chemical company is seeking a Technical Service Rep. This is a travel position where you will be responsible for handling customer issues, building relationships with current clients as well as conducting new customer intake and pressroom audits. You will work from a home office and need to be located in either North Carolina or Illinois. Pressroom individuals with sheetfed litho ink experience will also be considered. Responsibilities:
- Strategic technical support of offset sheetfed paste and UV inks
- Travel to new and existing clients to troubleshoot issues
- Understand clients’ needs and exceed their expectations
- Conduct printing trials and train press personnel as needed
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
- Collaborate with the sales, product management and laboratory teams
- Keep documentation up to date
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least 8 years of experience with sheetfed offset and UV inks
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written/presentation)
- Strong background in printing ink formulation and color theory
- Be a self-starter, highly organized, and work independently
- Able to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada (have a valid driver's license)
- Able to travel internationally (current passport or the ability to obtain one)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experienced using X-Rite or other color equipment and software
- Live within NC or IL/Chicago area preferred
- Strong color visual acuity, and color matching skills
