Our client is a well-established folding carton and rigid box manufacturer. With a solid commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, they have established their brand as a reliable partner serving businesses from the concept and prototyping stage to manufacturing and distribution. The team is expanding, and they currently seek Supply Chain Manager. It is a pivotal role responsible for seamlessly integrating many facets, including manufacturing, design, purchasing, prepress, customer service, and estimating, while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and standardize procedures for design, prepress, customer service, estimating, and purchasing departments.
- Conduct regular audits of vendor pricing to optimize cost efficiency and maintain competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with Operations to plan and schedule materials following production schedules.
- Manage and oversee office staff, including recruitment and hiring, as needed.
- Partner with Operations to guarantee that all projects meet customer-required deadlines.
- Provide recommendations to enhance productivity, quality, and overall operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and resolve issues related to both existing and new raw materials.
- Facilitate cross-training of office personnel to ensure comprehensive coverage of responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in office management, preferably within the folding carton or commercial printing industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, walk, sit, turn, twist, and talk or hear.
- Occasional requirements to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Communication Requirements:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
