Well established printing company located Northeast of DC is adding a 1st shift Wide Format Operator. This is a fast-paced production team driven by the principles of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- RIP files and operate wide format printers (inkjet & dye sub), laminators, sewers, and cutters
- Examine job orders and monitor the printing processes
- Provide guidance and training to junior operators
- Diagnose and troubleshoot digital print and finishing issues
- Follow and comply with all safety and compliance procedures
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5+ years of hands-on experience running digital printing and finishing equipment. Wide format inkjet and dye sublimation printers such as Vutek, Mimaki, Mutoh, Roland DBA, Fujifilm, Agfa, Canon, Epson, SwissQ, EFI, HP, or Stratojet preferred along with laminators, sewers and cutters such a Zund, Kongsberg, or Colex
- Experience with wide format RIPS such as Onyx, GMG or Caldera and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong color visual acuity, and color matching skills
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Ability to commute daily to Northeast District of Columbia
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- A strong commitment to quality and safety
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
