Inkjet equipment manufacturer is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician skilled in electro-mechanical systems and inkjet printing equipment based in Northern New Jersey. You will be working from a demonstration center and travelling throughout the United States handling machine installations, onsite customer training, and escalated troubleshooting. Responsibilities
- Installation, training, service, and repair of inkjet printers
- Work directly with customers in person and by phone/virtual
- Identify new business opportunities and work closely with the sales team-possible commission
- Collaborate with the engineering team for equipment improvements
Qualifications
- Associates technical degree preferred
- At least 5 years' experience electrical and electro-mechanical maintenance on flatbed and roll to roll inkjet printers. Candidates with Mimaki, Mutoh, Roland DBA, Fujifilm, Agfa, Canon, Epson, SwissQprint, EFI, or HP preferred
- Knowledge of UV and Solvent large format printing process
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel at least 50% of the time
- Strong problem solving, testing, repairing, and troubleshooting experience
- Reside in Northern NJ or the ability to relocate to the area
- Experience training customers
- Strong color visual acuity, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts and hours
- Ability to travel domestically (have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record) and internationally (current passport or the ability to obtain one)
