Our client, a well-established flexible packaging manufacturer based in the Midwest, is seeking an experienced and driven Converting Manager to lead a team in pouching operations. This dynamic role is ideal for an individual passionate about team development, training, and operational excellence.

Location: Wisconsin (onsite)

Salary: Up to $100,000 annually, based on experience, plus relocation assistance 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise daily converting operations, particularly pouching, ensuring productivity and quality targets are met.

  • Develop and implement effective training programs for operators, ensuring comprehensive cross-training and skill development.
  • Foster team collaboration, encourage open communication, and build strong working relationships among team members.
  • Monitor workflow, manage scheduling, and optimize staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and company policies, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams of up to 25 people in converting, pouching, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Exceptional skills in training, mentoring, and team building.
  • Ability to effectively cross-train employees to ensure operational flexibility and continuity.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement operational improvements and drive results.
