Our client, a book manufacturing production operation in the Chicago area, is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Maintenance Technician. This role blends mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance to keep high-speed machinery operating safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. It is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, preventing downtime, and working closely with engineering and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain automated mechanical and electrical systems
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
- Use voltmeters and precision measuring tools for electrical diagnostics
- Read and interpret schematics, layouts, and electromechanical diagrams
- Respond to breakdowns and restore equipment quickly and safely
Qualifications
- Background in industrial maintenance (electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics)
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and technical documentation
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Previously worked on Timson, Heidelberg, Kolbus, MBO, Müller Martini presses
