Global company is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician skilled in electro-mechanical systems and printing equipment. This is a travel position for installation, maintenance, and repair of inkjet printers. You will be based at a Chicago area office and travel throughout the US and occasionally to Canada, or Europe. Responsibilities
- Performing electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance of printing equipment
- Work directly on-site with customers and by phone/virtual
- Travel to customer printing locations
- Maintaining printers at the demo center
- Update activity reports and service documentation
- Continual learning and personal development
Qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience electrical and electro-mechanical repair and maintenance of printers or printing presses
- Knowledge of digital or inkjet printing presses/printers. Candidates with Agfa, Canon, Oce, Durst, EFI, Vutek, Mimaki, Roland, Mutoh, Heidelberg, Komori, manroland, Koenig & Bauer/KBA, HP/Hewlett-Packard, Xeikon, Xerox, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Screen, Kodak, or Fujifilm equipment preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (have a valid driver's license and current passport or the ability to obtain one)
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- Strong problem solving, testing, repairing, problem-solving, and troubleshooting experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and do overnight travel
- Computer literate and experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to commute to a Chicago area office when not traveling (40-75% travel) or the willingness to relocate to the Chicago area
- Strong color visual acuity
