Well established printing ink company is seeking a Southern California based Technical Sales Representative. A strong track record of success selling printing inks to commercial, magazine or publication offset printing companies. Competitive base salary plus commission and benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Account, car allowance, and 401(k).
Responsibilities:
- Technical sales of offset sheetfed litho, UV, and heatset printing paste inks
- Establish, meet, and exceed sales targets for the western region
- Cultivate new business and grow business with existing clients
- Placement of ink orders and inventory control
- Conduct printing trials
- Understand clients’ needs and exceed their expectations
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
- Submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports
- Work hand in hand with the product management, technical staff and marketing to ensure customer needs are met
Qualifications:
- High School degree required
- Live within the Western US. Southern California preferred.
- At least 3 years outside ink sales experience with a track record of success
- A solid track record of new business development
- Success growing business with established customers
- Knowledge of paste offset/lithographic conventional & UV inks, and heat-set printing inks
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Experience troubleshooting press-side
- A strong network of contacts within the Western printing industry
- Strong new business development, technical solution sales and relationship building skills
- Experience working with a CRM system, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel extensively within the Western region (have a car and valid driver’s license)
- Strong color visual acuity, and color matching skills
