Well established company is seeking an experienced Printing Manager to lead their Nevada graphic, printing, cutting and finishing departments. There is a knowledgeable production team in place and key initiatives include maintaining on time deliveries, color management, process improvement, and waste reduction. This individual will oversee all aspects of production including graphic design, prepress, wide format digital printing, dye sublimation, direct to fabric printing, finishing, sewing, cutting, shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should be an established leader experienced in dye sub and digital large format printing with a solid track record of working with everyone from machine operators to C-level management to initiate and implement long term strategies geared toward operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of the printing from pre-press through shipping and provide leadership and direction to all production employees
- Plan, schedule, and direct production and manufacturing priorities according to customers’ needs and company best practices
- Hire, lead, coach, develop, and train team members within a fast-paced environment
- Forecast, schedule, plan, organize, provide strategic direction, and monitor all printing production to achieve maximum productivity, quality, and safety
- Meet or exceed KPI objectives, and control costs within a metrics driven environment
- Work hand in hand with executive and plant management
- Troubleshooting dye sub fabric and textile printing
- Schedule and maintain preventative maintenance program
- Adhere to budgets and maintain profit margins
- Recommend new processes, software, technologies, equipment, and monitor industry trends
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
- Stay up to date on current industry innovations and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing management of a production team within a wide format, fabric or textile printing facility
- A proven track record of supervising a team within a fast-paced printing environment, while reducing costs, and maintaining a high level of safety and quality
- Proven track record in hands-on operations management, emphasizing strategic planning, production planning, and manufacturing
- Must be knowledgeable in dye sublimation printing, inkjet wide format (roll to roll and flatbed), as well as heat press, finishing, cutting, and sewing techniques to produce displays, flags, backlit graphics, banners, signs and exhibits
- Experience with FabriVu, Vutek, Durst, MCT, Klieverik, Summa or Matic Cronos equipment preferred but experience with Reggiani, Mimaki, Mutoh, HP, Kornit, fotoba, Helios, or Monti Antonio experience will be considered
- Strong color visual acuity and experience with G7, color management, and color profiling
- Ability to hire, coach, mentor, and train within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate and experience with Microsoft Office, print management software, RIP software, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Currently live or be able to relocate to the Las Vegas, NV area
- Ability to travel to industry events, conferences, and trade shows
