Our client is an established and innovative manufacturer of flexographic equipment seeking a Technical Operations Manager with deep knowledge of flexographic machinery, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, mechanical troubleshooting, and engineering innovation — and who wants to work directly with executive leadership while serving as a driving force behind operational success.

Location: Los Angeles, CA (onsite) with oversight of a Washington State facility, with travel 2–4 times per year for coordination and support.

Salary: $80,000–$115,000 (based on experience)

Benefits include Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, vacation, and sick leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the technical operations team at the California facility and provide oversight for the Washington site.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize flexographic machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Build and refine custom machine add-ons and engineering solutions.
  • Work with various substrates, adhesives, and materials used in label and agricultural packaging.
  • Drive continuous improvement across equipment, processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage multiple engineering and production-related projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of flexographic labels or converting machinery and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience leading technical or production teams in a manufacturing or equipment-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Process-minded with the ability to establish KPIs, structure, and continuous improvement.
  • Innovative, mechanically inclined, and comfortable collaborating with executive leadership.
  • Spanish preferred but not required.

What’s In It for You:

  • High visibility and influence: work directly with the executive team to shape operations, processes, and innovation.
  • Hands-on engineering impact: build, improve, and troubleshoot custom flexographic equipment—not just oversee it.
  • Growth and stability: lead a team within a growing, innovative company with long-term opportunities for advancement.
