Printing company located in the Mid-Atlantic is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor with a solid track record of leadership and supervision within a team-oriented printing company. This is a first shift position over the offset sheetfed press room and bindery departments. Competitive compensation, relocation assistance and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all aspects of the sheetfed pressroom and bindery departments
  • Lead, coach and train department leads and operators
  • Plan, organize, schedule, and monitor production to achieve maximum productivity and quality while maintaining safety
  • Meet or exceed production targets, reduce waste, and control costs within a metrics driven environment
  • Collaborate as part of the manufacturing team and work hand in hand with the Plant Manager

Qualifications:

  • High School degree
  • A proven track record of supervising a printing or bindery department, while reducing costs, and maintaining a high level of quality and safety
  • Knowledgeable in trouble shooting offset printing and/or bindery equipment such as Heidelberg, Komori, manroland, Koenig & Bauer/KBA, MBO, or Muller Martini.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience over a 10+ person team
  • 5+ years of pressroom and/or bindery experience
  • Knowledgeable in printing workflows and machinery to maximize space utilization
  • Ability to coach, mentor, train and inspire commitment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Mechanical maintenance skills
  • Computer literate with ERP software (EFI-Pace preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong color visual acuity, and color matching, and color management skills
  • Work on-site and commute daily to a Maryland facility
  • Ability to run, setup and train operators on stitchers and perfect binders a plus
  • Continuous improvement, Six sigma, Kaizen, or 5S experience a big plus

Salary range: $85,000 – $95,000 per year
