Growing printing company is seeking an experienced senior level Prepress Manager. The ideal candidate should be experienced in leading teams that prepare files for flexible packaging, shrink sleeves and labels with a good color management background. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of multiple pre-press departments and provide leadership and direction to all prepress employees within the region
- Hire, lead, coach, develop, and train team members within a fast-paced environment
- Forecast, schedule, plan, organize, provide strategic direction, and monitor all pre press production to achieve maximum productivity, quality, and safety according to customers’ needs and company best practices
- Meet or exceed financial and operational KPI objectives, and control costs within a metrics driven environment
- Provide guidance and training to Prepress Managers and Prepress Operators
- Follow and comply with all safety and compliance procedures
- Color matching and color management
- Develop new or modify existing processes and procedures to eliminate errors
- Work hand in hand with the other regional manager, workflow specialists, executive management and sales to ensure products are produced on time
- Recommend new processes, software, technologies, equipment, and monitor industry trends
- Stay up to date on current industry innovations and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years leading a salaried/hourly prepress department, preferably multi-location
- Recent experience with Esko Automation Engine, Hybrid, Adobe Creative Suite, and other prepress, flexo or digital printing software
- Knowledgeable in staff forecasting, cost control, improving efficiencies and eliminating inefficient processes for flexible packaging, shrink-sleeves, or label prepress production
- Collaborative leadership mindset
- Strong color visual acuity, and color matching skills, G7
- A strong commitment to quality and safety
- Preferred location is Texas
- Ability to coach, mentor, train and inspire commitment
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work onsite and travel about 25% of the time
