Converting Equipment Sales Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Regional Sales Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for customers and manage sales activities from start to finish. This role requires a combination of strong customer relationship management, business development expertise, and technical industry knowledge. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities, securing business, and strengthening connections with customers and suppliers in the paper converting industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful execution.
  • Schedule and attend meetings, including travel to customer facilities as needed.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients, identifying and maximizing business opportunities.
  • Maintain and update customer contact information and understand organizational structures.
  • Proactively hunt for leads and business development opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Monitor market activity in the territory to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Request, prepare, and send quotes to customers; follow up to position the company for success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and engage in networking within the industry.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to customers to showcase the company’s value proposition.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the paper converting equipment industry is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical field, or business.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in sales, including experience with regular travel.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with approximately 70% travel and 30% home office work.
  • Flexibility to live anywhere in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary in the range of $130,000 to $150,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity for a year-end bonus of 10% to 20%.
